**The Opportunity**
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced change management professional who is passionate about enterprise level transformation and staff development, to join our Transformation Management Office (TMO).
This key leadership position will suit someone who likes working with a considerable degree of independence, under broad direction from the Director. The TMO is responsible for providing specialist advisory services within the Agency, including change management. The Change Management Advisor role is key for promoting a consistent change management approach and capability uplift across business groups. It requires high level engagement skills and the ability to champion and embed good change management principles and processes across the Agency. This includes:
- guiding and supporting clients to assess change impacts and ensure project milestones are met
- undertaking end user research to develop evidence-based change management strategies and implementation plans
- demonstrating capability and commitment to continuing to develop cultural competency
- analysing change requirements, recommending change strategies and facilitating the completion of change artefacts to achieve benefits realisation.
As the Assistant Director, you will be able to:
- provide change management support, expert advice, and practical assistance to business areas and projects
- contribute to the development and implementation of our enterprise change management model and services
- provide strategic advice to project teams and sponsors on emerging risks and mitigations to minimise impact on end users
- develop productive working relationships with project teams and stakeholders using influencing skills to ensure they meet project and change deliverables whilst managing expectations
- lead the implementation of change activities, working cooperatively with business areas, to ensure the successful delivery of change management outcomes
- collaborate on the production, and distribution of clear, concise, and consistent communication products for multiple audiences
- have strong communication skills and the ability to tailor information and messages clearly and confidently, with demonstrated cultural competence. You will understand the audience, anticipating expectations and concerns to approach complex negotiations persuasively, with a clear understanding of delivering an outcome that is mutually beneficial.
**Additional requirements**:
- sound understanding of the principles and methodologies governing successful project management in a fast-paced changing environment with multiple stakeholders
- extensive experience in managing large scale, complex change.
**Desirable**:
- industry recognised change management qualification is desirable and/or a relevant tertiary qualification.
