The Program Assurance Branch is seeking a motivated and talented individual to join the Program Assurance Reviews and Compliance Section. As an Assistant Director, you will lead a team of geographically dispersed Review Offices and be a part of hard-working, friendly Branch who are committed to improving the delivery of the Home Care Packages Program - which supports older Australians to live independently in their own homes.

The nature of the work includes peaks and troughs. Assistant Directors are responsible for managing the quality, consistency and timeliness of reviews, while ensuring staff and their own well-being, especially during peak periods. In addition, Assistant Directors as expected to: contribute to positive branch culture; draft key documents and instruments; communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders; and contribute to the Branch and departmental strategic objectives.

Assistant Directors and Review Officers working on reviews receive on the job training leading to accredited assurance training.

Please note, a merit list will be created out of this recruitment process to fill ongoing and temporary positions that become vacant across the Branch.
