
Performance Project Officer

The Performance Project Officer is responsible
for implementing business solutions and
processes to support staff and students.
The position provides proactive and well
- organised support assisting the achievement of
the Oodgeroo Unit goals through general and
financial administration, to ensure the
successful delivery of the Units business
initiatives.
The position will liaise and work closely with a
range of QUT service areas including financial
services, HR, and other areas as required.
The position will be responsible for managing
projects as required.
The position will provide operational training
and day-to-day supervision to colleagues.
This position reports to the Senior Performance
Coordinator for supervision, workload
management, and Performance Planning and
Review (PPR).
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Provide high-level and confidential
administrative support to the Senior
Performance Coordinator and Director,
Oodgeroo Unit.
- Undertake research and investigation in
order to provide advice and information on
specific issues.
- Assist with the management and monitoring
of the Oodgeroo Unit budget, staffing, and
resources in accordance with University
Policies.
- Coordinate travel, events/functions, and
visits including organising venues, and
hospitality and preparing itineraries and
invitations as required.
- Provide effective project support and
coordination for projects within the
Oodgeroo Unit.
- Manage program purchases and financial
transactions in accordance with QUT
financial practices.
- Manage the Oodgeroo Unit’s, Asset
Register.
- Develop and maintain effective working
relationships with people at all levels within
QUT and Government, as well as external
partner organisations and community
groups.
- Provide support and mentoring to other
team members.
- Compliance with health and safety policies,
procedures, hazard reporting, and safe
work practices.
To ensure job flexibility the successful
appointee may be required to:
- perform any other duties as nominated by
the University consistent with the relevant
classification descriptors detailed in the
Enterprise Agreement. Staff undertaking
any new duties will receive training;
- participate in job rotation or multiskilling in
consultation with their supervisor;
- work across campuses
**Type of appointment**
This appointment will be offered on an
ongoing, full-time basis.

Selection Criteria
1. Education, training, and/or relevant
experience equivalent to the completion of
a degree with relevant experience in a
business and communications support role
within a large organisation.
2. Demonstrated ability to communicate
effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait
Islander people, including Elders, with a
proven ability to build and maintain strong
effective working relationships within the
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander
community.
3. Demonstrated skills in monitoring
expenditure and schedules, reporting, and
data collection.
4. Proven ability to use initiative to plan and
prioritises workloads in order to meet tight
deadlines whilst operating under minimum
supervision and maintaining a high level of
accuracy.
5. Evidence of well-developed interpersonal
skills including the ability to effectively
liaise with senior stakeholders both
internally and externally along with
excellent written communication skills with
demonstrated ability to create content
across multiple channels and formats.
6. Proven digital efficiency in the key
Microsoft suite of products (Outlook, Word,
Excel, PowerPoint) and corporate
management systems and collaboration
software.
7. Demonstrated ability to supervise
staff, work collaboratively, manage
workloads and drive teamwork and
excellence in service provision.
**Remuneration and Benefits**
The classification for this position is Higher
Education Worker Level 6 (HEW6) which has
an annual remuneration range of $96,955 to
$104,981 pa. Which is inclusive of an annual
salary range of $81,928 to $88,710 pa and
17% superannuation.
