- We are currently recruiting for a **Data Systems Analyst** to join our Data Analytics team. This position can be based in any of our offices in Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane or Sydney. If you’re passionate about data analysis, modelling, BI development, and thrive in a collaborative environment, we’d love to hear from you.**THE ROLE**

**Key responsibilities**:

- Gathering and documenting business and technical requirements to enable development of data products
- Data Mapping and Documentation: Create and maintain data dictionaries, data mappings, and other technical documentation to guide data ingestion and data transformation efforts.
- SQL Development: Write efficient SQL queries to extract, analyse and validate data from diverse databases, supporting analytical needs and improving data pipeline reliability
- Reporting Alignment: Work with data engineers, data analytics and business stakeholders to aid the translation of data structures into reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions that provide actionable insights
- Review the data engineering pipelines and data models to ensure accurate transformations and business rules in both the operational data store and Datawarehouse have occurred
- Progressing the data discovery work to developing semantic data models and BI data products in Tableau for the business

**THE PERSON**
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in a System Analyst, Data Analyst, or Data Business Analyst role with a focus on gathering business and technical requirements for the development of data products
- Proficiency in SQL, with experience writing complex queries for data extraction and analysis
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) to enhance data transformation and analysis capabilities
- Familiarity with relational databases, data models, and data warehousing concepts
- Knowledge of dimensional modelling (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema) for data warehouse design
