Our client, a local government organisation in Brookdale are looking for an experienced Administration and Compliance Officer to join their team.

We are working with a local government organisation in Brookdale. They are looking for an experienced Administration and Compliance Officer to go out and condition inspects resident/COA crossovers and verges, and then process bonds for an immediate start until early January.

**Start: ASAP**
**Location: Brookdale**
**Working hours: Full time (Mon - Fri: 8am - 4pm)**
**Duration: Until early January**

**The Role**
- This role goes out and condition inspects resident/COA crossovers and verges, and then processes bonds.
- Ensure customer enquiries are resolved in accordance with the organisation's policies and Local Laws in person and by correspondence within the agreed timeframes and that accurate records are maintained for all relevant activity.
- Q2qEnsure financial transactions are prepared and recorded accurately, including bond refunds, crossover subsidies and invoices for the cashiers.
- Undertake timely and efficient administrative support of the Directorate; ensure telephones are answered, correspondence is recorded and actioned, file notes and general correspondence are typed and finalised.
- Inspect and approve crossover plans.
- Carry out post crossover inspections for compliance and pre and post verge inspections for development works.
- Carry out inspections in relation to verge obstructions.
- Carry out inspections during office hours in relation to reporting of faulty streetlights.
- Undertake any other duties appropriate to the level and scope of this position, as directed.

**The Person**
- Experience in an administrative, compliance and semi-technical role.
- Experience working in a semi-technical engineering environment.
- Possession of Current C Class Drivers Licence
- Possession of or ability to obtain a current National Police Certificate.
- Understanding of concrete/brick paving/asphalt procedures.
- Knowledge of safe work practices and road safety procedures.
- Sound interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Sound written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to prioritise tasks and to meet deadlines.
- Sound numeracy and data entry skills.
- Well-developed computer skills including word processing and spreadsheets.
- The ability to interpret drawings and building plans.
