Temporary (full time) appointment commencing 13 October 2025 until 21 June 2026 with the possibility of a further temporary appointment and/or permanency.

The RoleThe Audit and Compliance Officer is responsible for undertaking on-site and desktop audits, either independently or as part of a team, of contracted registered training organisations (RTOs) against their contractual obligations with the Department.

The position is required to work closely with various stakeholders including other Branch staff the Apprenticeship Office, the Training Accreditation Council (TAC) and the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) to identify, address and, resolve any issues relating to an RTO's audit outcomes. The position also assists in maintaining the quality and effectiveness of all aspects of auditing within the scope of the role.

To be successful in this role you will ideally have well-developed problem solving and analytical skills, strong attention to detail, strong planning and organisational skills, and well-developed verbal, written and communication skills.
