We are seeking an experienced and driven Compliance Officer to lead compliance and governance activities for the Australian entities. Reporting to the Managing Director, this role will be responsible for overseeing all administration and compliance activities including financial, legal, insurance and risk management and for the provision of compliance guidance to the business.

**Your main responsibilities will include**:

- Financial compliance: direct & indirect tax compliance & processes, monitoring of cash pool limits, loans, and currency policies, ensure compliance with statutory requirements, the Group dividend process, thin cap calculations and coordinate the yearly external audit for all entities in the region with auditors;
- Legal compliance: ensure compliance with applicable policies related to anti-bribery and corruption, third party due diligence, data privacy and trade compliance;
- Indirect procurement and insurance coordination as necessary;
- Property management across entities within the region;
- Company Formalities: ASIC reporting & lodgement of ASIC forms as required, organise statutory/legal board meetings and Annual General Meetings for the legal entities;
- Risk management: Facilitate and monitor the implementation of effective risk management practices;
- General compliance matters including Legal entities structure change and liquidation support, secure statutory permits and integration support of acquisitions; and
- Alignment of local company policies across legal entities

**To be successful in this role you will possess the following**:

- Strong background in finance and/or legal compliance within a large organisation;
- Experience within a senior governance and compliance role within a commercial organisation;
- High level of integrity;
- Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills
- Structured approach;
- Experience in acquisitions due diligence and integration preferred;
- Strong commercial skills and strategic business understanding
- Capacity and proven track record in delivering against the company’s growth strategy
- Tertiary qualifications in law and / or commerce or finance will be highly regarded.
