**Description**:
The **Marketing and Communications Assistant **reports to the Australian Marketing Lead and provides support to the Australian Marketing & Commercial Teams. You will be particularly focused on the design and formatting of various documents, building content for social media, liaising with external providers, and event planning. This role will also provide organisational support in the planning and execution of marketing, events and other daily activities.

**Marketing documentation**
- Provide support for the Marketing team in the design and formatting of various marketing documents to support the Crop Protection and Plant Performance teams.
- Ensure marketing material moves through the appropriate approval process in a timely manner
- Be responsible for the storage and version history of these documents.
- Liaise with key external providers for printing and placement
- Ensure that all customer facing documentation has been approved for use and is reviewed at least every two years.

**Social Media**
- Create content for various social media platforms using approved marketing materials
- Manage content for various platforms using the current Corteva process
- Measure and report on social media metrics including trends, findings, observations
- Monitor agricultural news and current affairs for social media content
- Monitor posts and respond to engagement where appropriate (during working hours)
- Experience with social media placement software is desired

**Digital Assets**
- Manage and coordinate internal communications and supporting assets
- Format various materials to adhere to Corteva global branding guidelines
- Edit and/or reformat marketing materials as needed to meet short term needs from the commercial teams
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of timely and high-quality e-News to the wider teams
- Assist in the building and manage the internal website materials
- Coordinate and manage the external website material requests

**Merchandise**
- From time to time there will be a need for this role to order and coordinate merchandise, including managing the relationships with the providers and the order through to delivery process

**Events**
- Work with the product managers to identify the key messaging for the relevant events.
- Organise bookings, assets and signage for multiple events throughout the year
- Develop agendas and timelines, coordinate event information with a focus on branding
- Organise postage/freight of marketing items. Record and track when assets are sent, returned and stored
- From time to time there will be a requirement for this role to assist in organising other smaller internal and external events.

**Qualifications**:

- Diploma or Certificate IV in Marketing or Communications, Event Coordination or equivalent qualifications and experience.
- Experience with using the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign
- Organised and able to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills with all stakeholders, both written and verbal
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Use of Microsoft Office suite of programs (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
- Fluent with electronic platforms and social media e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn etc.
- Able to learn and work with project management software
