About North East Link
North East Link is the biggest ever investment in Melbourne's north-east - changing the way people move around Melbourne.
Victoria's longest road tunnels will fix the missing link in our city's freeway network, take 15,000 trucks off local roads a day and slash travel times by up to 35 minutes. We'll also complete the Ring Road in Greensborough, overhaul the Eastern Freeway, build Melbourne's first dedicated busway and the North East Trail - more than 34km of walking and cycling paths.
About the Opportunity
Be part of a transformative infrastructure project for Victoria, with an exciting role in the North East Link Program's (NELP) Commercial and Legal team
As our next Paralegal, you will be mentored and supported by a Principal Lawyer to achieve positive project outcomes across a broad variety of legal tasks, including:
- Assisting in the preparation and review of legal documents including construction and goods & services contracts
- Contributing to the preparation of advice, briefings and correspondence across a broad range of program issues and initiatives and legal and compliance matters, including procurement and contractual matters, claims, probity and freedom of information
- Assisting in legal research tasks on construction, infrastructure and contractual matters
- Maintaining key legal records and registers and contribute to reporting.
This position is currently based at 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne, with occasional travel to 180 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne. However, as the North East Link Program progresses, working at - or close to - onsite operations may be a requirement of the position.
