**About the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations**
We enable access to quality skills, training and employment services to support Australians find secure work in fair, productive and safe workplaces - supporting individuals and our nation to prosper.
**The Role**
The Tasmania State Office manages external service providers who deliver employment programs, and/or skills and apprenticeship programs throughout Tasmania.
Key functions across the office include local and regional stakeholder engagement, program and contract management, policy review and implementation, and collecting place-based intelligence.
Reporting to an Assistant Director (EL1) Team Leader, State Network Delivery & Engagement Officers (APS5) work within a supportive team environment with flexible working conditions.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
Multiple positions in our Employment and/or Skills teams may be available, and the responsibilities of the APS 5 level may include:
- Managing and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders to collaboratively achieve the department and Government’s policy measures.
- Managing Australian Government contracts with service providers who deliver employment or skills services to the Tasmanian community.
- Researching and interpreting program guidelines and policies to provide advice and guidance to internal stakeholders and our contracted providers.
- Monitoring and assessing provider performance and compliance through data analysis, file monitoring and site visits.
- Drafting communications and briefs for managers, delegates and visiting executive.
- Actively participating in planning, project management, decision-making and solution brokering.
- Processing payments and employer incentives, maintaining data integrity and undertaking data analysis to assess provider performance.
- Administrative assistance through mailbox management, research, and professional and prompt communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Frequent engagement with external stakeholders and/ or with providers in visits to their premises around Tasmania.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing across the WAPS Division.
