In this role, you will immerse yourself in the community, raising awareness of the Huon brand among key stakeholders. You will play an important role in delivering Huon’s community engagement strategy and assist in organising events, activities, sponsorships, partnerships, and donations.

Working full-time, you will have the flexibility to work outside of standard office hours, aligning with Huon’s commitment to community involvement.

**A day in the life**

As a proactive Community Engagement Coordinator, you will represent Huon by promoting our brand and raising awareness of our operations within the community. Your typical day may include:

- Identifying potential community engagement opportunities, offering recommendations to guide resource allocation decisions.
- Coordinating the Huon Community Advisory Group and donations programs.
- Engaging directly with the community, including members providing feedback on Huon’s operations.
- Creating communications material to spotlight community engagement activities.
- Building and nurturing relationships between Huon and corporate partners, sponsored organisations, and local community groups.

**What we’re looking for**

An energetic individual with a strong community presence who brings:

- Experience within a similar role and/or relevant qualification.
- A positive outlook with the ability to influence and cultivate strong relationships.
- A valid driver’s licence and the willingness to travel intrastate as needed, along with flexibility to work outside standard office hours.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities.
- An eye for detail and a proactive approach to organising engaging events and activities.
