**About the role**
The APS 5 Intelligence Information Officer role is primarily concerned with coordinating the dissemination of high quality, timely and compliant ACIC analytical and tactical intelligence products to external stakeholders.
The Intelligence Information Officer works closely with other intelligence professionals, operational teams and external partner agencies to ensure that intelligence disclosure processes, resources and outputs are supporting the strategic and operational needs of the ACIC and its clients.
Key responsibilities:
- Overseeing the creation, organisation, maintenance, progression and dissemination of ACIC information and records within the ACIC systems.
- Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Developing and implementing strategies for efficient retrieval and analysis of information to support organisational requirements and decision making.
- Conducting quality assurance review to ensure accuracy, completeness and consistency.
- Providing support and training to team members and users on the ACIC systems.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners to facilitate information sharing and coordination of digital information management efforts.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing enhanced team practices to optimise efficiency and effectiveness.
- Identifying risks relating to information management practices such as breaches of policy and procedure.
- Working effectively in a team environment.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following experience, skills and attributes:
- Performs quality assurance and dissemination functions to ensure the high quality and compliance of ACIC tactical, operational and strategic intelligence products released that inform and impact decision making for internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintains and works to improve corporate report and disclosure templates to make user experience easier and contribute to an expedited and better final product.
- Supports inter-disciplinary and inter-agency liaison to maintain productive networks and to promote information sharing, partnerships and common understanding.
- Contributes to a collegiate approach within the team that promotes a culture of flexibility and improvement.
- Undertakes staff mentoring and training tasks and additional projects as tasked by the Assistant Director and/or Supervisor Intelligence Information.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to work in a team environment.
**Eligibility**
- **Citizenship** - To be eligible for employment with the ACIC, applicants must be an Australian citizen.
- **Security Clearance** - The Australian community expects ACIC employees to maintain the highest levels of security and integrity. Successful applicants will be required to obtain and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 security clearance.
- **Vaccination Status** - To be eligible to work at the ACIC, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
