**The number of children in care has increased by 50% in the last five years - and it’s estimated to double again in the next five years.**
**One of Berry Street’s responses to help reduce this statistic is establishing a new State-Wide function to work alongside our regional teams providing carer-focused, responsive, **and informative support to potential new and current carers.**
**As our State-Wide Carer Administrator, you will work with the Senior Manager to recruit and retain more foster carers and provide critical support to both our foster and kinship carers across Victoria to ensure all children and young people have the support they need to thrive. This includes**:

- Assisting to provide carer focussed, warm, responsive and accurate information to prospective foster carers.
- Administering a booking system to diarise prospective carer conversations and centralised training activities.
- Working collaboratively with our wonderful regional teams to undertake initial conversations with prospective carers and to assist with processing carer household compliance checks including National Criminal Records Check, Working with Children’s Check (WWCC) and others.
- Being a process guru and supporting the continuous improvement of state-wide processes and procedures.
- Supporting state-wide community engagement activities in collaboration with regional teams.
- Being systems and data focussed, managing foster care enquiries and generating reports using prescribed IT systems to ensure that carer data is always maintained.
- Always striving for best practice and innovation in the way we recruit, support and provide training and development opportunities for our Carers.

This is a permanent role with an annual salary of $53,411.00 (pro rata) plus super and salary packaging.
