Reporting to the Head of Marketing Technology and Performance, the Marketing Assurance Lead will partner with Marketing teams, Legal, Compliance and other business stakeholders to develop and coordinate the implementation of risk management strategies for Marketing.

The Marketing Assurance Lead is responsible for ensuring the effectiveness, compliance, and integrity of marketing activities within the organisation. This role involves developing, implementing, and overseeing processes to monitor marketing campaigns, ensuring they adhere to company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.

In this role, you’ll:

- Working closely with Compliance/other business stakeholders to ensure;
- Establish marketing controls to ensure compliance with relevant ACMA regulations, and industry standards.
- Line 1 oversight framework for marketing function is standardised and optimised
- Ensure marketing team have a well-documented and agreed RCSA (risk & control self assessment) that is well maintained and revisited on an ongoing basis
- Continuing to evolve the approaches used to design controls and monitor the effectiveness of controls to drive a risk based approach to Line 1 activity.
- In partnership with product/marketing leaders, ensure the implementation of risk management policies, practices, and standards. Educate and advise on their implementation.
- Participates in the maintenance of Risk registers and profiles, risk identification, resolution of Audit points and event actions, and that risk management and reporting is embedded in team meetings.
- Provide a consultancy and education service to all marketing teams in risk management to enable them to identify risk and successfully implement programs to manage unacceptable risk.

Let’s talk about you:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent knowledge through prior work experience
- ACMA regulations experience - a bonus
- 5+ years experience in a highly regulated industry with a preference for prior financial services experience.
- 3+ years experience in Compliance, Operational Risk Management, Internal Audit or Quality Assurance practices and programs.
- In-depth knowledge of marketing regulations, laws, and industry best practices.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
