**About the Team**
The **Customer Compliance Performance** team is undergoing significant transformation, creating exciting new opportunities to join at a pivotal time, where you will have the chance to make a meaningful impact. This team provides specialist compliance expertise to the Customer Business Unit, supporting effective compliance management and ensuring EnergyAustralia’s regulatory obligations, governance systems, processes, and frameworks meet both industry standards and customer expectations. **About the Role**
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Customer Compliance Performance Team, as our **Compliance Assurance Leader**. In this role, you will set the strategic direction for control testing and quality assurance, ensuring compliance risks are effectively identified, assessed, and addressed. The role drives continuous improvement and innovation in assurance practices, enabling clear visibility of compliance performance and strengthening risk management across the Customer Business Unit. Other aspects of the role include:

- Deliver the compliance assurance strategy and annual assurance plans
- Lead the design and implementation of the compliance assurance framework
- Oversee the planning, execution, and reporting of assurance activities to evaluate the effectiveness of compliance controls across operations
- Drive uplift in control design and execution through targeted insights and recommendations
- Effectively lead the Compliance Assurance team in accordance with the Energy Australia Ways of Working

**About You**
To be successful in this role, you will be a dedicated leader with considerable experience in a compliance, risk, or assurance-related role, with a proven track record of managing compliance assurance activities. Other things we’re keen on include:

- Demonstrated ability to lead a high performing team
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, compliance controls, and risk management practices, particularly within the industry
- Hands-on experience designing and overseeing control testing and quality assurance programs, with a solid understanding of risk management frameworks and methodologies
- Strong analytical & problem-solving skills, with the ability to formulate, synthesise and analyse compliance data and provide meaningful advice and insights
- Adaptable and proactive, ready to tackle challenges with a continuous improvement mindset
