How to _apply_

**1. **Why you want to work for BoardOutlook**:
**1.1 What we do**:
BoardOutlook builds performance management software designed for the Board of Directors of large organisations. Practically, our software helps boards to:
Review their own performance

Measure and understand skill gaps

Assess the performance of the CEO

Understand key risks across the organisation

What this means in practice is helping people who run large organisations to make better decisions when it counts. In the average year, a large board will make decisions that will have major economic impacts, keep hundreds of thousands of people employed and have huge environmental and social consequences. These are the decisions that we help improve every day.

We’ve won many of the largest companies in the country as our clients (in addition to state and federal governments) and are backed by a top tier list of investors. Our revenue growth trajectory is impressive and continues to accelerate. For all these reasons, we need help to continue to capture the opportunity that sits in front of us.

**1.2 Working at BoardOutlook**:
At BoardOutlook we're a growing team with big ambition. There are four values that _form_ the foundation of our team ethos. Everyone we work with must display:
We hold ourselves to account - We fulfil our role on the team with ownership and accountability. We have pride in our work and our impact. We work with high standards and hit timeframes that we set for ourselves.

We generously invest in our teammates with our time and our energy - We have a proactive culture where we all seek out ways to be generous contributors to our team (time, praise, help, feedback, friendship, celebration).

We are optimistic and ambitious - We're naturally optimistic, which gives us both confidence and ambition.

We are brave - We have the courage to set ambitious goals and the drive to work hard to realise them. We are not afraid to respectfully challenge each other.

The stronger the points above describe you and the kind of people you like to work with, the more likely it is you'll succeed at BoardOutlook.

**2. **About this role**:
A product specialist will sit at the intersection of technology product management and consulting. The role will include:
Owning templates and process design on platform - You’ll be the ultimate owner of templates and process design on the platform, and you’ll work with our technology team to implement changes and improvements that have substantial benefit for our customers.

Understanding customer needs and regulatory obligations in different markets - You’ll maintain close understanding of the needs of our clients in different markets, and work to ensure these are captured within our product.

Owning the long term product roadmap - You’ll manage our long and short term product roadmap, prioritising new features and products in line with customer demand.

BoardOutlook is a disruptor in the board consulting market. Most of our clients are buying BoardOutlook as an alternative or supplement to traditional consulting processes. We want to ensure they have the best possible experience with our technology driven process.

A product specialist will be responsible for end-to-end process design across the BoardOutlook suite (and any other aligned tools) to deliver process automation and exceptional customer experience.

**3. **About you**:
We’re looking for someone with at least 5 years of management consulting and/or product management experience who fits the following six criteria:
You’re obsessive about automation. If there’s one thing that we think will predict success, it’s someone who is obsessive about the automation and disruption of management consulting. Our opportunity at BoardOutlook is automating and optimising much of the consulting process (without impacting the high value personal interactions). Ideally you’re someone who’s been obsessing about the opportunities to automate large chunks of your work for a number of years.

You have strong customer centricity. You work hard to understand the real problem that the client is trying to solve, understanding that it might be different to where they start.

You’re obsessive about the details. You’re very comfortable operating at both the macro and micro, and understand that details ultimately drive the quality of customer experience and ability to deliver at scale.

You love process design. You’re great at designing processes from end-to-end to deliver highly efficient standardised consulting experiences (that always feel customised).

You’re great with senior stakeholder engagement. You’ve spent a bunch of time working wi
