**Your opportunity**:
Due to an internal promotion, we have an opportunity for a Business Support Officer in our Infrastructure Planning & Delivery group.

This role sits in our Integrated Planning team, who are is essential in shaping the vision and objectives of our policies and servicing strategies. The team is responsible for building, adapting, and implementing plans for catchments, water supply zones, and data systems to define performance targets, establish investment pathways, and develop Strategic Business Cases—all driving an affordable, sustainable, and deliverable portfolio to achieve key objectives.

Reporting to the General Manager, the purpose of this role is to provide them and the leadership team with a high standard of pro-active administrative, secretarial, project and executive support to enable the efficient and effective operation of Infrastructure Planning and Delivery.

This position is more than a support role - it’s a people connector, project coordinator, and all-around operations professional who takes on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.

Some of your accountabilities will include:

- Proactively plan and organise the workflow through the General Managers office to meet business objectives, ensure set priorities are brought to each General Manager’s attention and outgoing work is appropriately coordinated and directed.
- Provide administration support and assistance to the General Manager, direct reports to the General Managers and colleagues, as directed from time to time, to achieve the organisation’s business requirements to the level of excellence and competency associated with the above functions.
- Plan, organise, and coordinate meetings and other events including liaison with suppliers on price and logistics to deliver successful cost-effective outcomes.
- Provide appropriate advice and information to managers and staff within Urban Utilities in a professional manner, and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, to enhance public perception of the organisation and the group and maintain confidentiality

**About you**:

- You have a growth mindset and are highly collaborative. You have experience in building relationships with internal stakeholder groups.
- You are proactive, with a detail-oriented approach and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes while maintaining confidentiality.
- Substantial relevant administrative and business support experience, preferably in an operational environment.
