Project Support Officer

The role

The Enterprise Discharge Summary and The Viewer (EDSTV) team require a Project Support Officer to assist in the successful delivery of large scale, complex Information Management (IM) and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) program/project(s). Your role will include activities that include coordination and publication of application product resources to intranet and public websites and the preparation of internal and external communication materials.

The EDSTV team are responsible for delivering services as part of the Department of Health Operational Plan, this includes a key action to progressively enhance The Viewer to provide additional capabilities and to expand access to support optimised care and integration across the care continuum.

Key responsibilities:

• Contribute to the coordination and publication of resources of the EDS and The Viewer intranet and public websites and prepare internal and external communication materials
• Assist with the general administrative and secretariat tasks that is required as part of project and governance committees the team are responsible for
• Continually update and maintain knowledge of specific applications and business technical requirements in the support of enterprise applications
• Assist in the delivery of specialised and/or small work packages involving IM/ICT, ensuring solutions delivered are responsive to customer needs and sustainable in an enterprise environment

About you

We are searching for someone who:

• Knowledge of or an ability to learn the IM/ICT project life cycle and an ability to assist in the delivery of work packages
• Ability to assist with the compilation of program/project information, maintenance of program/project files and the preparation and presentation of management reports. (SFIA : PROF Level 2)
• Ability to learn appropriate project management techniques, methodologies and tools
• Proven oral and written communication skills, and an ability to work in a team environment developing effective relationships with stakeholders. (NHS: Effective and strategic influencing)
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks within agreed priorities, timeframes and accountabilities
• Ability to work autonomously and as a member of a team to achieve agreed outcomes.

Specific Working Conditions:

• This position may be required to work at different sites
• Participation in on-call arrangements may be required for this position as well as out of hours work for change implementations. Appropriate remuneration under the Award will apply.
