**About the Role**
The Indigenous Strategy Support Officer position supports the Faculty's Indigenous education, research, and partnership goals, reporting to the Project Officer of Indigenous Research and Partnerships within the Office of the Associate Dean Indigenous. Working collaboratively with other staff, the role provides professional development, mentorship, and training to support career growth in University administration. The position is a fixed-term contract for one year.

Responsibilities include:

- Under the direction of relevant Faculty staff, support the portfolio activities of the Associate Dean, Indigenous relating to education, students, research, and partnerships.
- Under the direction of relevant Faculty staff, contribute to the development, communication and implementation of the Faculty’s Divisional Indigenous Development Plan and other relevant strategies and policies.
- Provide administrative (e.g., meeting scheduling; minute-taking) support to the Faculty Indigenous Strategy Committee, including any working groups operating under its remit.
- Support the operational reporting requirements within the portfolio, including collecting and recording data, document management and distribution, support in the preparation of annual budgets, and annual reports on the operation of strategic initiatives.

As the Indigenous Strategy Support Officer, you will work closely with the Associate Dean, Indigenous and other Faculty staff, while gaining valuable experience and mentorship to develop your career in university administration.

**About You**
You'll have proven collaboration skills with Indigenous students, staff, and communities, effective problem-solving abilities, and exceptional organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines even under pressure.

You will also have:

- Completion of a relevant degree, (or completion of a diploma qualification and subsequent relevant work experience; completion of a Certificate IV and extensive relevant work experience), or an equivalent combination of experience and education/training Capacity to interpret and implement policies and procedures in a University context
- Demonstrated written and oral communication skills with an ability to adapt style and approach to audiences.
- Strong computing skills including data management and MS Office Suite
