**About - Department of Medicine**

**About the Role**
The Australian Stroke Alliance, funded by the MRFF, is seeking a researcher to assist in implementing the Culturally Adaptive Governance Framework (CAGF) principles through the Darak program. This role involves working closely with Indigenous co-leads and the Senior Project Manager to evaluate and document the CAGF impact, develop relevant education and training, organize project meetings, facilitate discussion groups, and manage data and reports. The position aims to promote the Darak CAGF as a replicable tool for Indigenous health research across Australia.

Responsibilities include:

- Deliver online Darak training materials and educational content for the ASA.
- Facilitate online and in-person workshops around the cultural training modules undertaken by ASA members
- Contribute and co-lead the online evaluation of the training Darak offers the ASA.
- Organise and facilitate the OneMob virtual lecture series (small group sessions for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people engaged in health care, research, and education) that will be a continuing resource for Indigenous leaders and form part of the information in the online OneMob platform.

Collaborate with Indigenous leaders to enhance culturally adaptive stroke research practices on a national scale.

**About You**
You will possess a high level of attention to detail, be open to constructive feedback, and effectively liaise with collaborators and stakeholders. Your excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team, will ensure you meet deadlines with strong time management, planning, and organisational skills.

You will also have:

- Degree in Indigenous health, public health, medical/health research, or a related discipline.
- An understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history and culture including contemporary issues such as Indigenous self-determination & governance in health and medical research
- Experience working within public health, Indigenous health research or medical research projects, or in health or social care environments.
- Experience in delivering education programs and/or online and in-person facilitating workshops.
