Hays Recruitment have partnered with a leading Federal Government Agency, who require an APS5 Complaints Officer for their National Head Office in the heart of the Geelong CBD.

**Your new role**

You will work full time hours, from Monday to Friday from our Clients National Head Office in Geelong, supporting the Complaints Team who prepare high-level advice including letters, briefs and reports for a range of audiences including Ministers, Executive Leadership, Board, Independent Advisory Council and oversight bodies. The APS5 Complaints Officer is accountable under limited supervision to undertake moderately complex to complex work. Responsibilities will include:

- Managing complaints and participant incidents, including assessing, recording, resolving and referring as required
- Managing escalated complaints and ensuring strict deadlines are met
- Producing quality written correspondence for a range of audiences, including formal responses for the Minister
- Coordinating correspondence, briefing and reporting functions for the Complaints Team
- Supporting the Complaints Team to resolve day to day operations issues and assist in achieving the branch’s strategic objectives.

**What you'll need to succeed**

To succeed as the APS5 Complaints Officer you will need:

- Demonstrated experience in case management, complaint handling/management or similar role
- Experience in a Government environment preferred
- Demonstrated experience liaising with both internal and external stakeholders on complex work matter
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal
- Australian Citizenship is required
