Accounts Officer - Reporting to Project director

**ABOUT THE COMPANY**:
Our company is a growing Sydney based property developer & residential builder. The company is currently developing a master community in northwest Sydney and building up a residential construction team to provide high-quality homes to our clients.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
As part of the construction team, this role will be fully supported by the whole team members and external construction professionals. Initially, you will take the lead to set up the whole construction accounting systems, procedures and quality financial reporting and provide end to end bookkeeping and ad hoc accounting support. This role comes with **6 months paid training** provided by a well-known construction partner.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Supervising administration staff
- Weekly payroll-including PAYG, super, workers comp & single touch payroll - up to 50 staff members
- Payroll tax - monthly
- Accounts receivable (processing, invoicing, statements, age analysis)
- Accounts payable (Supplier Recons, cash flow projection, processing of invoices & credit notes)
- Assisting with Monthly reporting - reconciliation of P&L and Balance Sheet
- Assisting with Lodging of quarterly BAS
- End of month close (journal entries & adjustments)
- Administration of all Legal Contracts
- Preparation of Management Reports
- Administrative support to the project managers (progress claims)
- Annual Budget Preparation
- Manage the office administration, arrange for stationary and other purchases.
- Maintain registers of purchases, invoices and supporting documentation for the Project Director.
- Maintaining Asset Register
- Maintaining Leave Register
- Preferably competent with Software Data Build

**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**:

- Previous experience accounts receivable, collections and invoicing
- Processing supplier invoices against purchase orders
- High degree of initiative, taking ownership of issues, and demonstrate a “can do” attitude
- Team player and ability to work without supervision
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Excellent time management skills, enabling deadlines to be met
- A proactive, highly motivated approach
