**About the role**
Humanitix is on the hunt for an experienced bookkeeper to assist in managing our day-to-day accounting and finance requirements for its Australian and New Zealand operations using Xero, and work on specific tasks with our US finance team using QBO, with a desire to grow in your role and contribute to all areas of our team.
**Note this is an onsite / hybrid role with a requirement to work from our offices at The Rocks, Sydney minimum 3 days a week.**
**What you’ll do**:
- Accounts receivable and payable
- Office expense management and receipts reconciliation
- Record and reconcile all financial transactions
- General journals
- End of Month/Quarter/Financial Year processes, including the reconciliation between the ticketing platform and accounting software
- Assist with the preparation and lodgement of BAS, IAS, PAYG, Superannuation etc.
- Assist with Monthly Payroll for staff in Australia & NZ, including monitoring leave, expense claims and salary packaging
- Administrative support to the Finance Operations Manager
- Scope for growth
**Skills we are looking for**
- Reconciliation skills with a keen eye for detail and a desire to probe further into data
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles
- Proficiency in Xero, Microsoft Office, and Excel, and understanding of QBO preferred
- Cert IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping preferred
- Self-motivated with the ability to work remotely from our Sydney office in liaison with the US team and manage tasks independently
- Process-driven with excellent attention to detail
- Great communication skills and a fantastic can-do attitude
