**About the Opportunity**
Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the purpose of this position is to assist in the purchasing of materials and services to support the ASC facility and maintenance activities of Collins Class Submarines. Primarily this position is to ensure materials are available via expedition, resolution of exceptions and ensuring that materials are acceptable with respect to objective quality evidence, as well as maintain data and metrics relating to Supply Chain and Supplier performance. These activities are to be undertaken in accordance with ASC’s procurement strategy, guidelines, policies and procedures.
This role is a 24 month fixed term contract, based in Osborne, SA.
**Responsibilities**
- Responsible for reviewing all material requirements, ensuring that the supply of material to support both schedule requirements and production need is efficient and maximized.
- Expedite materials on Order to ensure delivery in accordance with committed dates, or where can be improved.
- Expedite Requests for Quotations (RFQs) to ensure materials are ordered expediently.
- Maintain and monitor specific KPIs related to Supply and Suppliers performance.
- Raise purchase orders that represent value for money and manage risk at an acceptable level to ASC.
- Undertake the review of look ahead reports to assess potential material impacts and the subsequent liaison with relevant stakeholders regarding mitigation of these impacts.
- Manage the resolution of material acceptance by obtaining Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) in accordance with ASC policies & procedures.
- Attend any meetings as required by the relevant Project teams.
- Other duties as directed by the Procurement Managers or Supply Chain Project Leads.

**Desirable competencies and experiences**
- Qualification in a related area and/or considerable procurement experience.
- Previous experience in Procurement administration.
- Identifies efficiencies and opportunities for procurement process improvement.
- Able to manage senior professionals effectively.
- Experience and knowledge with use of an MRP system.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Clear concise and effective written and verbal communications.
