Employment Term: Permanent part-time (45.6 hours per fortnight)

Remuneration: $85,114.94 (pro-rata) + 11.5% Super + $15,900 NFP Salary Packaging

Your part in our UnitingCare team

We are currently seeking to appoint to the role of Service Practice Support within our Lifeline Broadbeach Crisis Support and Suicide Prevention team. This is a key role in our centre, to provide mentoring and support to students and Crisis Supporters who are working or volunteering on the national Lifeline 13 11 14 Crisis Support service, offering support to people in crisis and emotional distress.

As the post holder, you will report to the Service Lead and work as part of a small team to build consistent quality practice amongst our Crisis Supporters and ensure they are appropriately supported to be able to support our help seekers.

Responsibilities
- Support Crisis Supporter development through providing feedback on their work
- Provide referrals to Centre Supervisor where concerns are identified
- Accreditation tracking
- Act as a link to centre staff for Crisis Supporters, welcoming them to the centre and reminding of any procedural changes
- Support Trainer with interviews on occasions
- Support new students on placement shifts
- Other duties as required by the Service Lead

What makes a difference for us?
- Tertiary qualification in Human Services or substantial relevant field experience
- Enhanced self-awareness and a non-judgemental attitude
- Openness to feedback and an ability to integrate feedback into practice for ongoing development.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build effortless rapport with staff and volunteers
- A current blue card (or be willing to obtain)
- Willingness to undergo a personal history check
- Experience as a Lifeline Crisis Supporter will be highly regarded
- Completion of the Lifeline CSWT training is highly desirable
