**The opportunity**

We are seeking a talented EHS Specialist to join the MQ-28 team to be based at Amberley, QLD, with routine travel to Brisbane and other locations as required.

**Responsibilities**
- Supporting internal customers and the MQ-28 Program on Environmental and Health & Safety processes, issues and regulatory compliance.
- Performing inspection and audits, investigating incidents and providing advice regarding corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence of incidents.
- Coordinating the development and maintenance of EHS Management Plans in accordance with company requirements and international Environmental and Health & Safety standards.
- Preparing EHS reports for program and functional leadership.
- Helping to establish a culture that is aligned with EHS objectives, with continuous EHS improvements.

**To be successful you will have**:

- 5 or more years' related work experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Environment, Health & Safety or a related discipline.
- Ability to travel to support various program facilities and deployment locations.
- Extensive knowledge of relevant Environmental and Health & Safety legislation.
- Demonstrated experience and skills in implementing and supporting risk management processes within high-risk work environments.
- Knowledge of and experience in implementing ISO 45001 & ISO 45001 standards.
- Experience conducting in depth safety investigations within complex organisations (ICAM trained desirable).
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills, and experience in interpreting and presenting EHS data to a range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated understanding of EHS contractor management requirements.
- Energy, passion, problem solving ability with can-do attitude.
- Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.

Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements. An ability to attain NV1 Security Clearance will be required.
