Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Global Services is searching for a Dangerous Goods Compliance Specialist in Brisbane, AU to ensure sites comply with various Dangerous Goods (DG) regulations for Asia-Pacific (APAC) as part of Boeing Global Services (BGS).

This stand-alone position will ensure Boeing sites comply with various DG regulations around the world. The role involves travel to Boeing facilities to conduct audits, provide training and meet with internal customers and contractors. Report findings to leadership and make recommendations for improvements while serving as a contact for regulatory agency inquiries and investigations.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and document strategies to ensure compliance with dangerous goods (DG) regulations, including ADG, ICAO/IATA, IMO/IMDG and others.
  • Perform product DG classification and data maintenance.
  • Leads the regional program to ensure DG systems and related data are complete and accurate.
  • Acts as the primary interface with regulatory agencies.
  • Conducts information exchanges to partner with operations, sales and procurement to improve related processes.
  • Evaluates new technologies and processes to develop strategies and tactics for minimizing risk.
  • Develops and delivers training and communications, identifies target audience and tracks training records to support regulatory and business requirements.
  • Supports vendor, contractor and supplier activities for EH&S DG compliance for site processes and program goals.
  • Evaluates impact of new regulations on company operations.
  • Work across departments to standardize work, processes, training, tools and systems.
  • Work directly with regulatory agencies to submit permit approvals and request interpretations.

What you might bring:

  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in dangerous goods, regulations and assessments, preferably in aviation.
  • Experience as a lead contact with regulatory agencies related to incident investigation and regulatory interpretations
  • Current DG certifications with a professional accreditation or ability to obtain within one three months
  • Ability to work independently, be self-motivated, and effectively work within teams to achieve common goals
  • Team player with the ability to build solid working relationships with multiple stakeholders
  • Fluent English language skills (both verbally and written); other language skills are a plus

Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements with the ability to obtain a Security Clearance.
