About the role
- Lead digital content creation in one of Australia’s most complex and dynamic sectors. We're looking for a digital leader who thrives on pace, complexity, and impact. In a category where change is constant and customer expectations are rising, you’ll shape how millions of Australians experience our brand every day.
As Digital Content Lead, you’ll oversee the creation and delivery of high-performing content across AGL’s digital channels—including web, ecommerce, and app. You’ll lead a talented team of Content Designers and a Digital Copywriter, ensuring content is customer-centric, accessible, and aligned with brand and SEO best practices.
You’ll work across three value streams, managing priorities and allocating work to ensure consistent, high-quality outcomes. You’ll also play a key role in stakeholder engagement—collaborating with Legal, Marketing, Product, and other teams to keep delivery smooth and on track.
This is a hands-on leadership role in a delivery-focused team, ideal for someone experienced in managing smaller, specialised teams who thrives on balancing multiple priorities and driving consistent, high-quality content outcomes.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead digital content delivery across major initiatives, including new products, campaigns, and go-to-market strategies.- Manage and develop a high-performing content team, providing coaching, mentoring, and guidance.- Shape and embed a governance framework for digital content—covering lifecycle management, style guides, success metrics, and best-practice processes.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, UX, Marketing, Sales, Legal, Brand) to solve content challenges and ensure alignment across the organisation.- Champion best-practice content that is engaging, accessible, SEO-friendly, and consistent with AGL’s brand and tone of voice.
About you:
- Previous demonstrated experience as a Digital Content Lead and/or Senior Content Designer role defining, creating and leading the delivery of digital content- Proven experience delivering sales and service outcomes via digital content in a retail environment.- Ability to work with high traffic, large and content-driven websites.- A strong understanding of UX and designing and iterating digital content experiences.- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead a team through delivery in an Agile environment.
