Crooked Drinks is a newly opened wine shop on Smith St in Collingwood and we are on the hunt for an passionate Wine Shop Manager to lead our flagship store.

Full-time | June 2025 start

The focus at Crooked Drinks is to showcase emerging and noteworthy producers, local or abroad, that are part of the new-wave of winemakers who are making juice outside (or in spite of) the traditionalist approach. This could be winemakers championing uncommon varieties, practicing regenerative farming, exploring different aging techniques or producing wines that defy regional regulations or typificity.

Most importantly, Crooked Drinks is a wine retail store grounded in hospitality values: intuitive service, engagement with our Collingwood community, treating people with kindness, and a sharp eye for detail.

In June/July 2025, Crooked Drinks will be introducing a small capacity on-premise offering which will be the next evolution of the business - and the new Wine Shop Manager will be integral to its introduction. Just bottleshop prices, no stemware, no corkage, no glass options, no small plates - grab a bottle and a seat, mínimal pomp.

What you’ll do:
Stock management of a highly rotated list of eclectic wines that fit within our ‘Crooked’ framework.Engage winemakers and wine suppliers continually to explore new releases
- Manage the day-to-day operations with a keen attention to detail and warm hospitality - including the introduction of our new on-premise offering.
- Build strong relationships with our loyal Collingwood community and winemakers/suppliers
- Management of a small vinyl record collection and eclectic magazine/literature range.

What we’re looking for:
Good, passionate people > experience.Passion for and knowledge of wine - whether its a developing knowledge or decades of experience
- The ability to deliver thoughtful, intuitive and emotionally intelligent customer service and hospitality
- The ability to flip a record while maintaining a conversation.
