**About the role**
Reporting to the Head of ESG, the ESG Analyst will focus on quality research analysis on ESG program functions and initiatives relating to ESG matters and the Fund’s Responsible Investing Policy. Areas of focus will include climate change, human rights and modern slavery, natural capital, and governance. The role provides an excellent opportunity for someone with a good understanding of ESG issues, and their relevance to financial outcomes, to work within an industry-leading investment team.
You will provide ESG research and analysis to the investment team, contributing to sustainability strategies and investment portfolio due diligence.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Investment research - Providing detailed and high quality research and analysis
- Proxy Voting - Primary responsibility for implementation of the fund’s proxy voting
- Ratings & Organisations - Support the rating process and outcomes
- Contribute to board, committee papers and member queries
- Work with ESG related bodies and Asset consultant
- Support implementation of ESG related systems or software

**About you**
To be successful you will have previous experience (2+ years) in investment management or responsible investment, and a demonstrated understanding of ESG issues and their financial implications. This experience would likely come from a fund manager, superannuation fund, Asset Consultant, corporate ESG team or another closely related business.
You will be confident in your hands-on financial market’s technical skills combined with strong written ability and verbal communication skills to successfully interact across senior levels of the business.
An academic degree profile in Finance, Economics, Law or Environmental Science will be highly regarded.
You also have the following skills:

- Experience working in an investment management or closely related function
- Strong organisation skills, able to work cross functionally and autonomously
- Willingness to embrace ambiguity and change
- Superior analytical and conceptual skills, able to distil and present information in a clear and succinct manner
- A genuine desire to work collaboratively and cooperatively with a diverse range of people
