Created by workers, for workers, Cbus Super is one of Australia's most successful Superannuation funds. For almost four decades we've proudly represented those who help shape Australia, hard-working individuals who deserve to make the most of their retirement, no matter the industry. All while staying committed to our member first ethos as a proud Industry Fund.
About the role
Responsible Investment (RI) is a key pillar of implementing Cbus' (United Super Pty Ltd) strategy, Cbus is recognised for its approach to responsible investment.
This newly developed role will work primarily within the ESG Integration team, with approximately 20% of time dedicated to the ESG Research team. The aim is to drive continuous improvement in the systematic integration of material factors into financial analysis and decision-making, ensuring alignment with our members' best financial interests.
The position also contributes to shaping Cbus' enterprise-wide approach to climate risk management, ensuring insights from research are applied in practice and integration feedback informs broader strategy.
You will need a track record of collaborating with a broad range of stakeholders to influence outcomes, strong research and analytical skills (including excellent data and literacy), and a positive and agile approach to working in a dynamic environment.
- Solid experience of the funds management, RI or superannuation sectors, with subject-matter expertise on climate change or nature/biodiversity loss and their connection to financial analysis highly regarded.
- A strong understanding of how ESG issues can shape investment performance over different time horizons would be highly regarded.
- Experience in communicating, influencing, and negotiating across a broad range of stakeholders, with a positive and pragmatic approach.
- Demonstrated ability to develop an informed approach that leverages a range of relevant inputs.
