In support of our strategic vision, we are currently seeking an innovative and agile financial strategist to join our team as **Finance Business Partner**. This position plays a pivotal role in our mission to empower business areas to attain financial success and make informed decisions.

In your role as **Finance Business Partner**, you will manage a small team of distinguished accounting professionals within the** Finance Planning and Performance team**, providing leadership in improving financial management with various areas across the University. You will play a strategic role in influencing senior leadership through executive decision making and enable informed commercial decisions through sustainable and collaborative networks. You will gain a profound understanding of the business domain, enabling you to proactively recognise and address challenges, risks, and their corresponding solutions. Your agility and adaptability will empower you to anticipate and resolve challenges effectively and efficiently.

**Who we are looking for: Selection Criteria**
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with area managers, gaining their trust to effectively influence outcomes and business decisions.
- Full membership of an internationally recognised accounting body (e.g. ICAA or CPA) and ongoing maintenance of professional development.
- Exceptional proficiency in leading and managing teams, coupled with the capability to establish and uphold an efficient and customer-centric team culture.
- Demonstrated experience in recommending and making timely decisions in a self-assured manner, being sufficiently able to address a variety of stakeholders whom have varying degrees of financial understanding.
- Demonstrated ability to provide analysis of financial information in strategic, innovative and insightful ways.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work to meet competing deadlines.
- Inherent ability to foster a culture of continuous innovation and improvement.
- Strong experience working in financial management for large and complex organisations.

Alongside the above position requirements, we are seeking a highly experienced financial management professional who can hit the ground running. We expect that you will have the necessary technical skills and experience to feel confident in your ability to advise and make informed decisions that add lasting value to our customers.

**Role Requirements**:

- As this is a fixed-term contract, you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role.
- Full membership of an internationally recognised accounting body (e.g. ICAA or CPA) and ongoing maintenance of professional development
