**Role Summary**:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to support and work alongside our thermal generation business unit. Whilst we are on an exciting journey working towards the future of renewable energy; we have an overarching important job in keeping on the lights for WA, and this role will play a pivotal part in supporting and driving this commercial outcome.

The position is based in our Perth office with a requirement to travel to Collie once a month.

**Key responsibilities of the role include**:

- Conduct financial analyses to understand drivers of value and performance.
- Build relationships with business unit managers to provide challenge, support and analyses to influence key decision making.
- Support the business delivery of BU budgets, forecasts and five-year plans in accordance with Synergy’s corporate planning framework.
- Provide key insights on business unit financial performance to the thermal generation leadership team.
- Influence the prioritisation of expenditure for the BU, and facilitate expenditure approvals, including business case reviews.

**What you’ll bring**:

- Recognised university degree in finance, accounting, or another relevant field.
- 3-5 years’ experience in a business partnering and/or management accounting role.
- Demonstrated experience working with financial/ERP systems and business intelligence tools. SAP is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated success in building and maintaining robust working relationships across all levels of an organisation.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen.
