**Your day as a Project and Business Support Officer**
As a **Project and Business Support Officer**, you’ll act as a critical member of the Secretary’s core support team, providing timely and effective administrative, secretariat, coordination, project and policy support to enable the delivery of Secretary and wider departmental objectives. The role holder also provides advice on governance and corporate matters to Treasury executives and their support teams.

Given the nature of the role, you will be expected to attend the office at least four days a week.
**What you can bring to the role**
In this integral role there are a few things we would like for you to have to best support yourself and add value to the people of NSW.
- Knowledge and experience of NSW Treasury and relevant NSW public sector policies, practices and legislative requirements, and an understanding of the machinery of government
- Proven ability to triage, assess and provide feedback on Ministerial advice including briefs
- Previous work in managing secretariat functions for senior governance groups and experience in advising on corporate services and corporate governance matters
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and coordinate workflows in a high-volume work area, often under pressure, with competing demands from multiple sources and critical deadlines
- Ability and willingness to work in an agile and responsive way across the team, pivoting to higher priority or urgent work and providing cover for the Secretary’s Senior Executive Officer as required.
- Experience of working in the support team of a senior executive or organisation head.
- Experience in a policy team would be strongly desirable.
