**About the role...**
The **National Membership Manager** is a newly created position to drive the FCA’s core member services program. The role is responsible for designing and delivering a member engagement strategy and annual plan comprising quality content, sector focus on issues, their process and feedback in order to deliver member value and promote more and better value of the FCA membership.
The role is defined by membership growth, retainment, and support for members and the duties include:
- Design and implement a national membership program to achieve sustainable results
- Develop and deliver consistent high-quality services to inform, educate and engage
- Ensure appropriate financial membership management processes and systems are in place
- Participate as a key member of the management team in overall development and delivery of the FCA’s strategic and operational

The **Franchise Council of Australia** (FCA) is the peak body for the $172 Billion franchise business segment, which includes 1,300 networks, with 90,000+ individual franchised outlets, employing more than half a million Australians.
There is a franchise operating in almost every type of business category, with varying levels of complexity and market share, creating employment and prosperity for the nation. The FCA provides a platform for franchisors, franchisees, business advisors and small to medium businesses to influence government policy, communicate with political leaders and key decision makers, network with peers and engage in policy debate.
FCA Members are part of a unique association where business lessons, experience and up-to-date essential information are provided. FCA membership is seen as an essential business investment and the information, policy engagement and business resources of the FCA directly support members.
**About you **
As someone with experience within the franchise sector or a membership-based organisation, you are known for having a genuine passion and commitment to stakeholder experience and service, which you'll easily be able to translate into member experience and service.
You have the ability to develop meaningful and collaborative stakeholder relationships, whilst having a passion for identifying opportunities for membership growth and retention. You will excel at providing first class member support, understanding problems and identifying solutions.
To be successful in this role it is essential you have:
- An absolute commitment to building a compliant, profitable and sustainable franchise sector
- Demonstrated expertise and understanding from working within the franchise sector; or
- Experience working in a membership-based organisation, with responsibility for membership management strategy and processes
- Demonstrated experience in curating and delivering services for a membership base (or a similar stakeholder base with transferable relationship management)
- Demonstrated management experience; excellent interpersonal skills; strong analytical and decision-making capacity
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong networks and leverage partnerships
- Highly developed written, oral communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- Strong IT experience - using CRM reporting and using data and information strategically would be highly regarded
- Highly developed project management experience
- Proven ability to prioritise a high workload and juggle competing demands; able to be hands-on and tactical in one role
- A relevant formal qualification would be highly desirable
