About the Role

Reporting to the Associate Director Strategic Partnerships, this role is responsible for managing a portfolio of member organisations and designing collaborative partnerships that support CEDA's research and advocacy work.

You'll be the primary relationship manager for senior stakeholders across government, business, and academia - ensuring members derive value from their engagement with CEDA and identifying opportunities for deeper collaboration.

You'll also lead the design and delivery of strategic partnerships that underpin major projects aligned to our Progress 2050 agenda.

Key Responsibilities

Membership Engagement

  • Manage a portfolio of member organisations
  • Retain and grow membership aligned to strategic priorities
  • Build strong relationships with senior decision-makers
  • Support sponsorship and event engagement in collaboration with the Programming Team

Partnership Development

  • Design and secure partnerships for research and advocacy projects
  • Lead discovery workshops and co-design campaigns with prospective partners
  • Oversee partnership delivery, including budgets, timelines, and stakeholder engagement
  • Produce high-quality proposals, project assets, and reporting materials
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of partnership goals with CEDA's strategic priorities

General Responsibilities

  • Represent CEDA at roundtables and public events, including as host/MC
  • Provide strategic advice and support to the Associate Director Strategic Partnerships
  • Demonstrate and promote CEDA's values in all interactions

About You

You're a relationship builder with a strategic mindset and a passion for public policy. You bring:

  • 5+ years' experience in membership, business development, professional services, or stakeholder engagement
  • Proven ability to build relationships with senior executives across sectors
  • Strong project or event management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including confident presentation abilities
  • Financial literacy and experience managing budgets and targets
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (Dynamics 365 preferred)
  • A collaborative, curious, and customer-focused approach
