**What is Ready Reader?**

Ready Reader is a non-profit that aims to close the literacy gap for five to seven year olds across Australia who read below grade level. Ready Reader places pre-service teachers in primary schools to provide one-on-one, in-classroom support for selected Preps to Grade 2s.

**About the role**

As a Human Resources Officer you will work with the Chief Human Resources Officer to manage Ready Reader’s 30+ people. You will help train, recruit and lead the best pre-service teachers in Victoria.

This is a volunteer role to provide university students practical experience; this is not a paid position.

**Role requirements**
- A passion for human resources
- A degree in a relevant discipline is highly valued but not mandatory
- Teamwork and the ability to collaborate with others
- Excellent communication skills
- A desire to be surrounded by an awesome community of young volunteers changing the face of education in Victoria

**Time Commitments**:Approximately 1 to 2 hours a week

**Location**: This role can be performed virtually, with some in person events throughout the year.
