**Position Description**: At Mama Taco, you will play a vital role in maintaining our commitment to culinary excellence and ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen. Your responsibilities will include:

- Assisting in the daily kitchen operations, from food preparation to cooking and plating, ensuring adherence to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
- Collaborating with the culinary team to innovate and refine menu items, showcasing traditional Mexican flavours, seasonal ingredients, and creative cooking techniques.
- Preparing and cooking dishes according to established recipes and guidelines, maintaining consistency and high-quality standards.
- Contributing to maintaining a clean, organised, and well-stocked kitchen by monitoring inventory levels and effectively managing food supplies and waste.
- Upholding food safety and sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations, ensuring a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.

**Requirements**:

- At least 2 years of experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment, with a focus on Mexican cuisine preferred.
- Strong culinary skills, with the ability to prepare and execute dishes while maintaining authenticity and adhering to high-quality standards.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure with professionalism.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant's operational needs.
- A passion for food, creativity, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth in the culinary arts.
