Your key accountabilities
The core capability requirements for this role are:
Lead and manage the state-wide radio telecommunications leasing portfolio to support all QPS operations by undertaking:
- negotiation and review of all lease and licence agreements to ensure legal compliance and adequate protection of state assets;
- conducting complex and sensitive negotiations including engaging consultants as required and interpreting their reports;
- ensuring that rental levels are consistent with current market levels, and that rent reviews, lease renewals, lease options are effectively managed;
Oversee an effective leasing management system to monitor and report on the portfolio and ensure that appropriate governance processes are implemented and adhered to.
Provide high quality advice to leadership and customer agencies on Property and Leasing work program and other related strategic initiatives.
Prepare high level correspondence and documentation on a broad range of property management issues, including drafting briefing notes and budget submissions. Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders through continual engagement, regular communication, and a pro-active approach to service delivery.
Coordinate, control and resolve issues/problems by devising alternative courses of action including innovative approaches and contribute to the implementation of the solution.
Provide leadership, coaching and support to direct reports.
Role Requirements
Qualification
- A tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Business Management or related discipline and relevant post graduate qualifications will be highly regarded.
Other
- A current 'C' class driver's licence.
You may also be required to:
- Undertake on-call duties, overtime and work outside normal business hours.
- Travel intra and inter-state as required.
