**Principal Property Officer - Property Services**:
We are seeking a **Principal Property Officer** to join the **Leasing, Tenure and Operational Services Team** within our **Property Services Unit**. This is a temporary opportunity for someone with exceptional technical and commercial experience to support the use of infrastructure across the state by third parties.
**Your Role**:
The Principal Property Officer will provide high-level analysis, undertake due diligence, and engage with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate community use of existing facilities. This includes land management, reviewing and implementing property-related systems, policies, and projects.
You will also oversee both operational and strategic land matters, focusing on third-party use of facilities. Key responsibilities include land use analysis, access and leasing/licensing agreements, site analysis, and planning to achieve site readiness, enabling community use and joint development opportunities.
**About You**:
- Although not mandatory, qualifications or industry experience in site due diligence, town planning, joint development agreements, policy and legislation, and leasing will be beneficial.
- Experience in delivering high-quality property advice and developing service responses to meet stakeholder needs.
- Strong research and written communication skills, including report and brief writing.
- Awareness and understanding of relevant legislation and policy impacting property portfolios.
- A proactive and forward-thinking mindset, with strong motivation to work towards organisational objectives.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead and manage property programs, including joint development agreements and third-party leasing initiatives.
- Assess risks, opportunities, and strengths in third-party use and leasing programs to ensure consistency in decision-making.
- Provide timely, independent property and planning advice, identifying emerging issues and implementing strategic plans.
- Ensure legislative and policy compliance while improving community use and joint development agreement models.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including property owners, regional advisors, and other government entities.
