**What will you be engaged in?**

As an essential member of our finance team, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day Accounts Payable function of the Asia Pacific region and, contributing directly to the continued success and advancement of Populous.

Within this exciting role you will be responsible for:

- Accurately enter invoices into the accounts processing system to ensure appropriate recording and collation.
- Maintaining and organising supplier records, including filing and updating relevant information.
- Thoroughly checking and verifying invoices for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintaining accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions to ensure accurate financial records.
- Auditing and processing credit card bills in accordance with company policies, procedures, and processes.
- Addressing and promptly respond to vendor inquiries and requests.
- Investigating and resolving account discrepancies and instances of non-compliance in a timely manner.
- Assisting in general accounting tasks, including the preparation of balance sheets and profit and loss reconciliations to support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Provide support to the Financial Controller and offer coverage during the absences of other team members to ensure smooth operations.

We are actively seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our dynamic finance team based in Brisbane.

Specifically, we’re looking for people who have:

- 1+ years’ practical experience in an operational finance role.

- Experience with Australian payroll is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong time management and organisational abilities.
- Understanding and knowledge of basic accounting principles.
