Working as the Communications & Events Manager in the Education sector, your new role will be working for a Private School with the office being located in CBD.

**Your new role**

Supporting the Director, Public Affairs & Engagement the Communication and Events Manager will provide communication support to build and maintain the School’s key stakeholder relationships with media, schools, school owners, government, parliament, and other stakeholders. Through the utilisation of traditional media, social media, online activities, events and stakeholder outreach.
- Contribute to the development of the School’s Stakeholder Engagement and Communications Plan
- Source and prepare editorial and visual content for the School’s social media, website and e-newsletter
- Develop a content creation schedule and engagement strategy for social media
- Monitor, maintain and enhance relevant webpage and digital engagement channels
- Moderate and evaluate engagement across communication and social media channels
- Report on the key performance metrics of relevant channels
- Research and write a range of internal and external communications including media briefings, media releases and stakeholder communications
- Event planning and organisation

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role doing communications, public relations and digital media
- Relevant degree or academic qualifications in media, communications, marketing or a related field
- Demonstrated competency using Wordpress
- Experience in creating compelling social media content
- Ability to identify potential opportunities and ability to drive online lead generation
- Experience in developing and executing communications and marketing material
- An understanding of the metropolitan media environment
- Commitment to maintaining privacy, confidentiality and dealing respectfully with sensitive information
- Demonstrated experience in managing and monitoring social media channels and using social media publishing platforms and analytic tools
- Demonstrated effective research, written and oral communication skills with a proven record of high-quality social media content writing and design
- Demonstrated competency using Microsoft Office and different social media platforms and a willingness to learn additional platforms as required
- Working with Children Check clearance in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012
