Spring Street Events as part of the European group is looking for an experienced and passionate Events Supervisor & Administration Coordinator

Located in Melbourne’s CBD are our collection of nine event spaces including, Melbourne Supper Club, Siglo, Tea Room, Spring Street Cheese Cellar, Recoleta and French Saloon. Each of our venues is committed to providing a beautiful, warm and inviting space in which our guests can enjoy seasonal produce, boutique wines and professional service.

This role with Spring Street Events will see you working up to three days a week in our Spring street office and two days a week supervising an event, or visa versa depending on demand. It would suit someone who has experience in restaurants or events with the ability to deliver high quality service and work flexible hours across many different spaces and who is also a natural leader.

Key duties include:

- Answer all incoming calls and taking reservations or direct callers to appropriate departments within the group
- Meet & greet clients for site inspections and ongoing client management
- Work closely with the event managers and assist in daily tasks to ensure smooth running of the events department
- Supervise an event ensuring high standards of guest service
- Monitor staff performance and lead a team
- Communicate with head chefs on any menu changes
- Confidently liaise with all clients in a fast paced environment

- Ability to follow & implement procedures
- Offer flexibility with rostering when required
- A keen interest in food & wine with the ambition to constantly update this knowledge
