**Your role**

The Principal Change Manager is responsible for leading the development and implementation of change, communication and training strategies to support technology initiatives across projects, programs and operational changes. This role plays a key part in designing, monitoring and evaluating change management and communications frameworks within Major Digital and ICT Programs (MD) within Information and Digital Services (IDS).

Additionally, The Principal Change Manager works collaboratively with the business to drive strategic and operational performance, ensuring the effective planning and execution of change, communication and training solutions that support successful business transformation.

**What you’ll do**
- Design, manage, develop and deliver effective change management and communication strategies and plans for programs, projects and operations.
- Manage the delivery of all aspects of change and communications, including stakeholder and impact assessment, engagement, communication, training, support and business readiness to embed the required business change.
- Ensure key stakeholders, business sponsors and project partners where necessary are actively engaged in planning and their needs are incorporated in change, communication and engagement strategies and plans.
- Development and implementation of a range of IDS training and capability programs that support broader Department’s commitments.
- Design and delivery of change, communication and training methodology and frameworks for project delivery and BAU operation teams.
- Develop both proactive and responsive internal and external communication strategies and activities which are aligned to ICT and Department business operational priorities and provide effective support to ICT strategies, initiatives, developments, organisational change and organisational development.
- Identify issues in change management methodologies and contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of tools, techniques and templates for implementation of change initiatives.
- Establish measurable performance metrics to monitor the effectiveness of any change implementation and implement their monitoring and analysis of these metrics across ICT; and Undertake analysis and review of communications tactics and strategies to determine outcomes of specific initiatives and inform future planning and activity.
- Champion continuous improvement strategies and activities that contribute to the development of change management practice in alignment with business improvement reforms including facilitating lessons learned, project closure and quality initiatives.

**What we’re looking for**
- Qualifications or equivalent knowledge and experience in Change Management and Communications
- Extensive experience in delivering change management and communications in technology related programs and/or projects.
- Experience in developing and delivering training materials using a variety of tools and formats
- Sound understanding of, and experience in IT Service Delivery and Operations.
- Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management abilities
- Strong analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
