We have a fantastic opportunity for a newly created role as an **Operations Manager - Supa Valu. **This role will support the development of the new Supa Valu Brand and retail stores through design and development of operational excellence programs with our existing stores and retailers and in preparation for future stores.

The Operations Manager will Identify the optimal operating procedures to ensure the profitable growth of the Supa Valu brand in collaboration with Metcash teams and our retail partners. This role has a blank sheet of paper to be bold and different. **What you’ll do**
- Development of operational policies and procedures for the profitable operation of a Supa Valu store.
- Management of P&L statements, developing plans to improve profitability of store operations. Support Supa Valu retailers to improve their operating efficiency reducing cost of doing business.
- Supporting the Supa Valu team within store execution of merchandise and marketing plans.
- Develop strong relationships with Supa Valu independent retailers to review operating challenges and develop ways of working to ensure optimal efficiency.
- Support stores with instore coaching and training to deliver ongoing operational efficiency developing supporting training materials.
- This role will require you to travel interstate.

**What you’ll bring**
- Previous experience in Supermarket operations or another retail operations role of similar nature.
- Strong understanding of a supermarket profit and loss statement and the key driving factors behind its outcomes.
- Understanding of Fresh food departments and their profitable operations.
- Experienced people and relationship manager with strong influencing skills.
- Development of policies and procedures designed to improve a supermarket or other retail business.
