The Coles Services team directly impact the overall standard of our stores. As part of one of the largest cleaning and trolley collection teams in the country, you’ll be helping to deliver a clean and safe shopping experience for our customers.

**About the role**:
As the Coles Services State Operations Manager for NSW and ACT you will lead ~1500 Coles Services Team Members to deliver clean and safe stores for customers. Our Coles Services team takes pride in making our supermarkets shine. By managing all trolleys, trolley collection and cleaning services, we make sure our customers’ shopping experiences are as consistently safe, seamless and welcoming as possible. You will ensure we are taking Coles Services to the next level within your state and that we have an efficient and safe working model. In this role of State Operations Manager, you will lead a team of Area Managers, Team Leaders and Team Members and ensure the efficient end to end running of Coles Services operations in your state. You will also:

- Drive results through effective leadership of engaged team members and on a regular basis communicate updates regarding store performance, key business plans and strategy
- Be a champion for change and effectively look ahead and communicate to allow your team to adapt
- Develop a strong safety culture within the state to create a safe working environment for your team to new initiatives
- Adapt approach to improve commercials and ensure that all services provided are managed effectively and within budget
- Build capability of Area Managers to deliver in their role and provide leadership for all Coles Services team members within the state to create a great place to work
- Lead talent development within the state including succession planning and development plans for all team members
- Ensure all risks are identified and have appropriate mitigation plans
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders and effectively resolve issues in a timely manner
- Lead the service delivery program for your state and ensure standards and requirements are met, e.g. polish program, trolley collection program, etc.
- Ensure state compliance with industry regulations and internal company policies, including procedures and guidelines, working rights checks and the Trade Practices Act

**About you and your skills**:
Through your proven leadership and people management skills you will drive performance and oversee multiple sites and areas. This role will see you have:

- a comprehensive background in supermarket operations and a demonstrable financial management capability
- a passion to deliver operational effectiveness, innovation and efficiency
- the capability to develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders in busy environments
- proven high level customer service and management skills
- solid numerical and analytical skills
- outstanding oral and written communication skills
- a great ability to identify and develop talent
