**About the role**:
Are you ready to embark on an exciting new phase in your career? Compare the Market is seeking a talented Delivery Lead with exceptional organisational skills, a deep understanding of software systems, and a collaborative mindset to join our Software Engineering and Delivery team, based in Toowong. Your key to success in this role will be your ability to navigate the design, development, testing, and evolution of software, while working effectively with cross functional teams.

At the heart of this role is the delivery of high-quality software solutions for both internal and external stakeholders. As a passionate advocate for quality and engineering principles, you’ll take charge of entire delivery life cycles for designated work streams. From ideation to release management, you’ll oversee tasks, provide guidance, and facilitate key ceremonies like stand-ups and retrospectives. Your commitment to excellence will drive efficiency and innovation, setting new benchmarks for delivery standards.

Compare the Market is enhancing its core platform and building new assets using the latest technologies to underpin all our service offerings including Energy, Insurance, and Lending, so there will be scope to work on a range of initiatives covering our whole business.

**Main duties and responsibilities**:
In this critical role, you’ll play a pivotal role in our continued success by:

- Collaborating closely with project managers, product owners, and stakeholders from various departments including IT, Commercial, Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Finance.
- Providing mentorship and coaching to team members, ensuring they meet performance targets.
- Assisting your team(s) in efficiently resolving technical issues and overcoming roadblocks.
- Collaborating with IT teams to ensure the robustness, security, and well-architecture of solutions, ensuring they are delivered as designed.
- Implementing and refining delivery processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Monitoring project timelines and budgets to ensure successful delivery within constraints.
- Identifying and mitigating risks to project delivery, proactively addressing challenges as they arise.

With a passion for continuous improvement, you’re always seeking ways to refine delivery standards and drive innovation.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Proven track record in managing software delivery functions.
- Comprehensive understanding of delivery methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration.
- Demonstrated proficiency in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with IT delivery.
- Analytical mindset, capable of translating business objectives into actionable plans.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
