The Scaffidi Group manages pharmacies across Australia including Adelaide, Alice Springs, Brisbane and rural and regional sites in SA, NT, QLD and VIC.

A number of South Australian and Northern Territory pharmacies under Scaffidi Group management deliver medicines and pharmacy services to remote Aboriginal Health Clinics throughout the Northern Territory, far north South Australia and into Western Australia.

**The role**

The Indigenous Engagement Manager is a pivotal member of the Indigenous Health Services Department within Scaffidi Group. This role is responsible for overseeing significant projects with high reputational impact for Scaffidi Group. The Indigenous Engagement Manager will act as the primary connector between Indigenous communities, external stakeholders, and the research team(s) by creating links, partnerships, networks, building and maintaining critical relationships.

Reporting to the Executive Pharmacist Partner the key responsibilities for this role will include, but are not limited to:

- Manage the coordination and execution of Scaffidi Group’s Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP);
- Coordinate the associated Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Working Group;
- Engage a diverse network of stakeholders to develop a collaborative approach to Indigenous engagement;
- Create and deliver detailed reports and analysis on the progress of Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)
- Foster Indigenous participation by creating links with local communities to identify opportunities to support Indigenous people including Apprenticeships, pre-employment programs, career development and mentoring;
- Develop and maintain effective long-term relationships of trust, respect and honesty with Indigenous communities;
- In consultation with the People and Culture Department, develop strategies to enhance recruitment of Indigenous people;
- Represent the Scaffidi Group externally through participation on relevant Indigenous working groups and at external engagement events

**Applicants must be able to demonstrate**:

- Capacity to contribute to policy development and change, particularly in relation to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander matters.
- High level interpersonal and communication skills, including in cross-cultural contexts, with the ability to engage, communicate, consult, inspire, influence and work collaboratively with key stakeholders, within and external to the Scaffidi Group.
- Strong operational and organisational management skills, including demonstrated ability to set goals, develop priorities and meet deadlines.
- Identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander - preferred
