**About the role**

Reporting to the Senior Manager - Supporter Engagement, the primary purpose of this position is to manage and grow a portfolio of financial supporters of The Hospital Research Foundation Group through effective relationship management across the donor journey.

As part of our Supporter Engagement Team, this role is responsible for developing and growing existing relationships to enable fundraising outcomes within individual giving, monthly giving, mid and major gifts, in honour and gifts in will.

This role is also responsible for building our engagement within the local hospital networks, key champions and volunteers with a primary focus via our Hub at the Lyell McEwin Hospital (LMH).

**Role responsibilities include**:

- Build and nurture strong relationships with supporters over the phone and in person using Supporter Engagement practices including education, awareness and gratitude
- Nudge supporters along the pipeline towards confirmed bequests and major donations
- Solicit donations appropriately across the donor journey and facilitate mutually beneficial outcomes for the supporter and THRF Group
- Build relationships within local health networks (public hospitals) to promote the work of THRF Group and engage hospital staff, patients and families with our cause through activations and fundraising initiatives. Drive working groups for key projects, working closely with SA Health staff.

include public speaking, to share the vision, mission and work of

THRF Group and build networks

**About you**

To be successful in the role you will ideally have;
- Demonstrated experience in a supporter engagement role within the fundraising industry OR in a relationship-based sales/customer service role outside of fundraising
- Demonstrated experience using customer relationship management systems
- Expertise in Major Gifts and Bequest/Planned Giving Fundraising is desired but not essential
- A curiosity about people and their motivations, to benefit strong, long-term, and mutually beneficial relationships
- High level of interpersonal skills, able to build empathic and respectful relationships
- Able to develop and maintain effective professional networks and relationships
