As a Finance Officer, you will be responsible for processing financial transactions, data, and information management. Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders, provide information and communication with relevant stakeholders as required.

**About you**

You will be an efficient and proactive Finance Officer with accounting knowledge and advanced computer skills. You will be comfortable building partnerships with people across business areas and organisations.

**Key responsibilities of the role include**:

- Financial Administration, maintain accurate data, records and information management systems
- Process invoices, reconciliations, accounts, banking, and payments including refunds.
- Correspondence management
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Provide accurate information and sound financial advice to all levels of management
- Procurement responsibilities - Ensure the use of appropriate purchasing rules and principles of procurement have been followed as per departmental procurement policies.
- Financial compliance - Implement quality assurance processes to ensure ongoing compliance and standards are met.
- Provide assistane with development of financial statements, submissions, briefings and reports
- Undertake financial research and data analysis
- Bachelor's degree in Finance - Accounting or equivalent is essential
- Desireable: Membership wth CPA Australia or ICAA
- Advanced computer skills
- Planning and Organisational Skills
- Problem Solver
- Strong written and communication skills
- A sound understanding of the accounting principles and standards as applied in the government sector.

To be successful, you will demonstrate a sound understanding of accounting principles and standards, have experience in managing financial transactions and operations, process and policy improvement and operational workflows in a high-volume context.
